Last Friday will forever be remembered in the history of our high school. We celebrated the 10th anniversary of the school’s existence, an occasion for shared celebration, reminiscence, and joy.
The ceremony began with the unveiling of our school’s new symbol – a gnome, who, by the students’ choice, was given the significant name Ed-mundo. The gnome has become an inseparable part of our identity and has joined the famous Wrocław Gnome Trail, known throughout Poland.
The anniversary program was filled with various attractions, which allowed us to travel through time and recall the most important moments in the school’s history:
-
A screening of films with archival photos of our students, showcasing the history of all nine graduating classes of IHSW.
-
A photography exhibition showing how the students of our school have changed over the years (still available for viewing in the school lobby).
-
An artistic performance by alumni, presenting their musical talents.
-
A raffle, full of excitement and with many attractive prizes.
-
A group dance of the “Belgian” on the field – continuing one of our most cherished traditions.
-
The burial of a Time Capsule, which we will open in ten years.
-
A festive banquet, full of conversations and memories, providing a moment of reflection on what we have achieved over the years.
-
Entries in the Jubilee Book.
During the event, there was also a ceremony of awarding distinctions from the Board of Directors of Foundation for International Education. The awards were given to the most deserving teachers – Mentors of Generations, who have passionately and dedicatedly supported the development of our high school and its students over the years.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us in celebrating this special day – Alumni, Students, Teachers, and Friends of the school. Your presence made this celebration unforgettable!
